This is a beautiful Fused Glass Blue Tealight holder.
Pop a battery operated tealight into the middle and it’ll cast beautiful shadows. You don’t have to use a candle, you could just put it in a bright or sunny place and let the light shine through.
Every tealight holder is unique, the way I layer the pieces and the way it forms in the kiln is different each time. It may not be bright and rainbow but it is beautiful! I use copper oxide powder, which gives it the blue tint. When the copper oxide powder and glass is heated in the kiln it produces tiny blue bubbles. It also has bits of iridescent glass which show the tiny bubbles perfectly.
It goes into the kiln to be fused first, then once cool it goes back in again for a second fuse to shape it. This tealight holder is approx 6cm high and 11cm wide and each one is unique.
A great twist on copper for a 7th Wedding Anniversary!
