It's easy to order online. Once you've received your kit all you have to do is make it and send it back and it'll be fired for you with a hole drilled for hanging and the finished piece is sent back to you.
This is a bright and beautiful flower suncatcher memorial keepsake infused with your loved ones ashes. It measures approximately 8cm square and comes ready to hang with colour co-ordinating ribbon.
The glass is tack fused, meaning it retains a lot of definition and shape. The centre of the flower is made using frit (tiny bits of crushed glass) which has a slight sparkle to it. This is where the ashes are placed. I make these in red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, dark blue and purple.
The flower is handmade using specialist art glass and is fired in the kiln at least twice. The cremation ashes are mixed carefully with the frit in the centre of the sunflower then fused. It’s a unique, durable, special memorial keepsake.
Suitable for indoor or outside use, fused glass doesn’t fade in the sun and is weatherproof (I do advise to protect it from the wind).
This looks delicate but it is pretty tough at 6mm thick, but as with all glass, it’s best to keep it out of the reach of children and handle it with love and care.
The flower suncatcher looks beautiful hanging anywhere, especially when the sun shines!
I can also make this without ashes, just select from the options.
After you have placed your order, I will send you a kit with full instructions, to collect the ashes. I only need around half a teaspoon worth, any unused ashes will be returned along with your sunflower.
Once I’ve received the ashes back, it will take up to 2 weeks to make your suncatcher.
It’s an honour to make these available and you can be assured I take great care of the ashes of your loved one while in my possession. I have a special area in my workshop set aside.
The postage price includes me sending the ashes kit to you and the final item being sent on completion. If you’d prefer to send the ashes dorectly to me, please let me know so I can send instructions and my address.
2 x Postage is included in the postage price – Sending the ashes kit to you via 1st class and sending the finished item to you via your chosen postage method. I highly recommend sending the ashes to me via Signed For post at least, to ensure they get to me.
Unfortunately there is no option for prepaid postage when sending signed for. I’ve researched it in the past and spoken to Royal Mail to find a solution but as of now, it isn’t something they offer.
Many people choose to send the ashes back via special delivery to ensure they get to me, or delay sending them back so it isn’t a one size fits all procedure, unfortunately.

There are a range of postage options to choose from within your Basket or at Checkout. Prices start from £3.25 for smaller items and £3.85 for parcel orders.
All orders are sent Signed For or Tracked, depending on which service you choose, with the exception of Ashes Jewellery products which are sent Special Delivery.
FREE 2nd Class Signed For Delivery is available on orders over £80, excluding Ashes products.
International customers can buy through my Etsy store.
All orders are packaged extremely well to prevent damage in the post. The packaging I use can be re-used or recycled and I encourage you to recycle or re-use the bubble wrap, foam and ribbons.

Care of Your Glass

General Care Instructions:
Glass is breakable so please handle with care.
Gentle handwash only – no harsh chemicals or abrasives – wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.
If your glass is to be placed outside, please protect it from wind and storms.
Jewellery Care:
Never immerse in water.
Ensure you remove your jewellery before bathing/showering, swimming and cleaning.
Sterling Silver and Plated Silver will always tarnish over time, especially when not worn for a time. Use a good qualty soft silver polishing cloth to remove any tarnish and bring back the shine.
